Synopsis

This Laboratory Manual has been organized to instruct the B. Pharm. learners in building of the practical knowledge on the basics of anatomy and physiology through laboratory work. The manual is structured based on the existing academic standards of the Pharmacy Council of India and could be used with the purpose of assisting students in matching theoretical information with practical observation and experimentation.
An adequate knowledge of the anatomy and physiology is especially significant to the students of pharmacy since it is a powerful base to the other studies like Pharmacology and Pathophysiology. An understanding of normal body structure and functioning can help students to be more aware of how drugs affect various organs and systems and how the physiological processes are changed in disease states. Thus, the goal of this manual is to make a transition between theory and practice in pharmaceutical education.
Hopefully the laboratory manual can be used as a reference guide to students and enable them to enhance their knowledge of the human body, thus enhancing their readiness to pursue higher pharmaceutical sciences.
